The nursery school

Primary school education in Tanzania begins at age 7. There is a huge demand for good nursery education as parents often need or want to work. The Nyasaka church decided to set up their own nursery school as a way of providing for a need within their community in 2011.

Construction of the nursery school

The nursery school classrooms were built in 2014. Here you can see the building being constructed. Two classrooms were built, each able to take a maximum of twenty children. We paid for the salary of one teacher and the Nyasaka church paid for a second teacher.

The nursery school today

This ministry has seen the church at Nyasaka grow. This ministry is now fully sustainable and we no longer need to fund a salary for one of the staff.  We have also built a kitchen, a toilet block and a secure compound fence. We would like to provide some playground equipment for the children. Can you help with this?

New furniture for the nursery school

As the school has grown so much there were not enough desks and chairs for the children who attend. This could have been paid for by raising fees but this would have put the fees beyond the reach of many parents. We were asked to help provide the finance for new chairs and tables and this we were able to do in July 2019.
